Power Down and Unwind

With technology at our fingertips 24:7 it can be hard to realize when it’s time to power off and unwind. However, many studies have shown how important it is to do so, especially when it comes to getting enough rest and general wellness. I encourage everyone to take a look at their technology usage and see if where/when you can unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures in life, i.e. a good book, a new record, conversation with a loved one, or much-needed exercise. “Unfortunately, cell phones and computers, which make our lives more productive and enjoyable, may be abused to the point that they contribute to getting less sleep at night leaving millions of Americans functioning poorly the next day,” Russell Rosenberg, the vice chairman of the Washington DC-based National Sleep Foundation (NSF), said in a statement.
